How to Use This Database

This peptide database is designed for researchers, clinicians, and informed individuals seeking a centralized reference for research peptides. Here is how to get the most out of it:

  • Search: Type any peptide name, alias, or keyword into the search bar. Searches match against compound names, alternative names, and descriptions.
  • Filter by category: Use the category dropdown to narrow results to Therapeutic, GLP-1 Agonist, Cosmetic, Nootropic, or Immune peptides.
  • Click compound names: Each peptide name links to its full profile page with dosage information, mechanism of action, benefits, side effects, and cited research.
  • Status column: Shows whether a peptide is FDA-approved, in clinical trials, previously approved, approved outside the US, or in the research/preclinical phase.
  • Route column: Indicates the primary administration routes — SC (subcutaneous injection), Oral, Nasal, Topical, IV (intravenous), or IM (intramuscular).

Understanding Peptide Categories

Peptides in this database are grouped into five primary categories based on their primary mechanism of action and therapeutic area:

Therapeutic

The largest category, covering growth hormone secretagogues (sermorelin, ipamorelin, CJC-1295), healing peptides (BPC-157, TB-500), and metabolic peptides (AOD-9604, MOTS-c). These compounds target specific physiological pathways for tissue repair, hormone optimization, or metabolic function.

GLP-1 Agonist

Peptides that activate the GLP-1 receptor (and often additional receptors like GIP or glucagon). Includes FDA-approved medications like semaglutide and tirzepatide, and investigational compounds like retatrutide and survodutide. See our GLP-1 guide for a deep dive.

Cosmetic

Peptides primarily researched for skin, hair, and aesthetic applications. GHK-Cu (copper peptide) is the most studied, with evidence for collagen stimulation and gene modulation. Melanotan II targets skin pigmentation. GLOW is a proprietary blend.

Nootropic

Peptides targeting cognitive function, neuroprotection, and brain health. Semax and Selank are approved medications in Russia. Dihexa is an angiotensin IV analog with potent synaptogenic effects. DSIP targets sleep architecture. Cerebrolysin is a neurotrophic peptide preparation.

Immune

Peptides with primary mechanisms involving immune modulation and anti-inflammatory signaling. KPV (derived from alpha-MSH) targets gut inflammation. LL-37 is a human cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide with broad-spectrum activity.
