Kisspeptin can trigger oocyte maturation in IVF protocols with significantly lower risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) compared to hCG. Studies by Abbara et al. demonstrated successful oocyte maturation and pregnancy in high-risk patients, with no cases of clinically significant OHSS.
