DSIP Dosage Protocols
DSIP (Delta Sleep Inducing Peptide) dosing in research:
| Protocol | Dose | Frequency | Timing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sleep research | 100–250 mcg | Once daily | 30–60 minutes before bed |
| Stress/pain research | 100–300 mcg | Once daily | Morning or evening |
DSIP was originally isolated from rabbit brain during induced sleep and named for its ability to promote delta wave (slow-wave) sleep activity when injected into awake rabbits. Despite its name, research has shown DSIP's effects extend well beyond sleep to include stress modulation, pain regulation, and endocrine effects.
Reconstitution & Preparation
DSIP typically comes in 2mg or 5mg lyophilized vials:
- 2mg vial + 2mL BAC water = 1mg/mL (1,000 mcg/mL) — draw 0.1mL for 100 mcg, 0.25mL for 250 mcg
- 5mg vial + 2mL BAC water = 2.5mg/mL — draw 0.1mL for 250 mcg
Use the peptide calculator for precise volumes. See the reconstitution guide for preparation.
Timing & Cycle Length
DSIP timing considerations:
- Sleep applications: Administer 30–60 minutes before intended sleep time
- Cycle length: Protocols typically run 2–4 weeks. Some research uses intermittent dosing (every other day)
- No fasting requirement: DSIP's sleep-modulating effects are not affected by food intake
- Tolerance: Some research suggests effects may diminish with extended daily use, supporting the use of cycling or intermittent dosing
Storage
Standard peptide storage:
- Lyophilized: -20°C long-term, 2–8°C for months
- Reconstituted: Refrigerate at 2–8°C, use within 28 days
See the peptide storage guide.
